There is nothing better to understand the rewilding approach than to have the opportunity to visit the rock engravings of the Côa Valley in the same experience and see the species that once lived here and that the rewilding movement is now bringing back, live and in colour. PROGRAMME: DAY 1 15H-23H30 Arrive at Rewilding Centre in Vale de Madeira (Pinhel) for check-in DAY 2 09H30-12H: Guided visit to Ermo das Águias rewilding area, with Wildlife Portugal, to know Rewilding Portugal’s work on the field 12H15: Travel to local village Trancoso 13H: Lunch with local and typical products in Mercearia do Fradinho 14H30: Travel to Castelo Melhor 15H30-18H: Visit to rock engravings of the Côa Valley Archaeological Park, with Ambieduca 18H30: Travel to Pinhel 19H30: Dinner in traditional restaurant in Pinhel 20H45: Return to Rewilding Centre DAY 3 09H15: Travel to Vale Carapito rewilding area in Vilar Maior, Sabugal 10H00-13H00: Guided visit to Vale Carapito rewilding area with Wildlife Portugal 13H00: Lunch inside Vilar Maior historical castle, with local products from Wild Côa Network members 14H30: Return to Rewilding Centre and end of programme This experience is available for groups of between 1 and 12 people.

This experience is provided by Rewilding Portugal, an NGO that is part of Rewilding Europe's range of landscapes and has been developing strong rewilding efforts in the Greater Côa Valley region in Portugal since 2019. All profits from these tourist experiences are directly invested in their conservation and ecological restoration projects.
